This was my entry that won first place in the Kutzall creature contest for October 2025. I started with a rectangular cube that I cut and stacked to get the general bust shape before using my angle grinder and Dremel with Kutzall attachments to shape it. Eventually I worked down to using fine detail burrs and hand tools before burning and staining with tung oil. The slimy effect was achieved by adding a layer of clear two part epoxy to the face hugger.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Alien movies and the contest this year was a great opportunity to challenge myself to create something with this level of detail within a short timeframe.
